CHARACTERS

Making 3D felt sculpture is the final and longest part of my work, but no less important are the two preceding stages: coming up with the character image in my head and then making sketches. I draw every creature from different angels, work on its expression, pose and colour. The starting point is often to draw real animals and borrow some of their features for my characters.

Sometimes my creatures do not go beyond the sketch book. For example you can see a “Polar Bear in Africa” below. Maybe in the future they will come to life …
